Yeraz Kortun
Artist & Designer based in the Netherlands
Yeraz Kortun is an artist and designer based in the Netherlands. She is currently studying Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), and followed an exchange semester at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).
Working across furniture, spatial installations, writing, and material research, Kortun’s practice explores the relationships between objects, materials, and the spaces they inhabit. Her projects often begin with material experimentation, allowing processes of making and discovery to shape the work.
At the center of Kortun’s practice is an interest in the poetic existence of objects and spaces created around them. She approaches space not simply as a structure to inhabit, but as something experienced, transformed, and responsive.
Her work has been exhibited in the Netherlands, Türkiye, and the United States.
