W-STOOL
The W-Stool aims to flip or even turn completely upside down the relationship between furniture and architecture which often gets perceived as linear. It conceptually embeds the architecture of the space it inhabits within itself as its elements draw inspiration from the structural W-Beams used in constructions. While visually referencing the weight and solidity of wide flange steel beams, the stool challenges this perception through its lightweight construction and fully demountable system. It translates structural elements into an object scale.
The W-Stool is composed of laser-cut aluminum components that can be easily slotted together without permanent fixings. Each element is designed for disassembly and reassembly, emphasizing temporality and adaptability. The use of aluminum allows for a lightweight yet structurally stable object, making transportation and installation straightforward.
